Music / Variety Show

Last week's Music/Variety concert was an excellent opportunity for Wentworth students to showcase their talents.  From piano to bands, violin to voice, individual performers to groups, the breadth of talent shown was outstanding.  Congratulations to all the students who took part, and thank you to all the parents and families who came along to show their support.

Senior Art Trip

On 11 February, senior Art students visited the Auckland City Art Gallery in order to view work by contemporary young New Zealand artists and to become familiar with the gallery archive, which holds comprehensive and valuable information on each New Zealand artist.  The students have to complete a written analytical study on a selected artist of their choice whose work they must  view first-hand. The trip proved to be an extremely worthwhile experience and the students have become familiar with how to research and access information that they require to conduct their personal study.

Stage Challenge

Stage Challenge is well underway this term already with dance groups being organised rehearsals being held in the Dance Studio at lunchtime.  Olivia Harter and Sarah Haggerty are leading the team this year with expertise and enthusiasm.  Our theme is a sad one this year based on the ultimate sacrifice of war.  Fundraising is in action so a polite request please to eat lots of Cadbury chocolate so we can raise enough money for all our costumes and large props!  Thank you.
